All eighteen applicants hoping to replace O'Connor will be interviewed this Friday at the BCBA, from 1:30-5:00 PM. The interview schedule is here (open to the public); 4.)Mike Gates, Jeff Streitfeld, and Carol-Lisa Phillips, conducting Broward's first ever three judge panel, county to circuit appeals' oral arguments (got that?), late last year. Streitfeld interrupted the proceedings to hassle over JAABCAM's unobtrusive shutterbugging, but later was quite nice in a post-hearing phone conversation, presumably after researching local rules concerning media coverage.
